Hello saints,
You might remember that a few weeks ago I sent out a testimony about God protecting me from a deer in the middle of the road. Well, tonight He did it again. Great is His faithfulness.
It was about 8:30pm and I was in the same approximate area that I was the last time this occurred. I was coming around a curve in the road and I looked up and saw the furry creature before me. As last time, I had only a split second to react. I credit the Lord with giving my hands the correct instructions! The last time I swerved into the left lane to avoid the deer. This time, the deer was in the center of the road, so I swerved to the right. Praise the Lord! I did not hit the deer. However, the deer started walking towards my car as I drove past it (just like last time). He or she bumped the side of my car, but there was no damage to the car (just like last time)! It's pretty funny how identical the two experiences were, aside from the side of the car the deer bumped into. That's good symmetry. I quickly realized what had just happened. I knew that I was safe and that my car was still working perfectly. I just calmly praised the Lord for proving His Word to me, yet again.
If there is anything I can perhaps draw from these two experiences, it would be this: God has promised to provide and protect for us, as we walk uprightly before Him (Psalm 84:11-12). He honors His Word in the lives of those who obey His Word, Amen. However, He never said that there wouldn't be "tight squeezes" and "narrow escapes". The end result of provision and protection is guaranteed, but how we specifically arrive at it is not. If you are walking through a trial and standing in faith for something God has promised to do, I encourage you to continue in a stedfast manner. Those that trust in the living God by His Word will *never* be ashamed. In the meantime, continue to praise the ever-worthy Lord God for His faithfulness. You'll see it manifested. God cannot fail.
Numbers 11:23
And the Lord said unto Moses, is the Lord's hand waxed short (powerless)? Thou shalt see now whether my Word shall come to pass unto thee or not.
Praise the Lord,
Justin
