Bible Teachings - Depart from iniquity or depart from God

Hello saints,

Here's something the Lord showed me tonight when I was reading in Luke. I had never connected these 2 verses before. It's a simple comparison, but a powerful one.

Luke 13:27

"But He shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from Me, all ye workers of iniquity."

2 Timothy 2:19

"Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are His. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity."

What can be drawn from these 2 verses?

1) Workers of iniquity depart from God

2) Workers of righteousness depart from iniquity
